Sports and Talent Showcase
South Texas District
LIVE LOUD South Texas!!!
What better way to “Live Loud” than to showcase our teens’ music, arts and athletic talents. LIVE LOUD will take place Friday and Saturday, February 26 & 27 at Lake Houston Church and March 12 & 13 at San Antonio New Vision Church. This is a fantastic opportunity to encourage your students to explore the gifts that God has given them, while having a blast hanging out with teens from all across the South Texas District.
The cost of the event this year is $30 for registrations turned in by the week before your area event and $40 for anytime after that (Considered “walk ups”). Registration includes an awesome opening ceremony on Friday night, a photo-op with friends, & pizza late Friday night. The registration fee also covers the cost of awards, sports associated rentals, and miscellaneous expenses to create a memorable weekend!
Necessary food and lodging will be additional to the registration fee and will need to be taken care of by the individual church, for those that live close by, this will not be a problem. Our ultimate goal is to have as many teens as we can together, showcasing their gifts for God.
Students
We are thrilled you are going to join us for this event. We hope that when you leave the weekend, you will be challenged to LIVE LOUD and showcase not only your talents but your faith in God!
General Guidelines
Decide what talents you are going to showcase early! Use the time leading up to the event to prepare your talents so that you showcase your best.
Make sure to turn the registration form into your youth leader on time!
Music Guidelines
You must have written music to go with your performance for the judges
Practice LOTS
Bring a nice outfit to wear for your performance
Arts Guidelines
You may submit no more than two entries per category
Create a nice presentation for your artwork (IE: frame, matting, display, etc)
Be sure to fill out the art / crafts info sheet. Entries without a form cannot be judged
Sports Guidelines
You may choose to play in ONE of the three physical sports - basketball, volleyball, cross country (5K), in addition to choosing to play in ONE of the non-physical sports - chess and table tennis.
Make sure to have all your necessary sporting equipment the night you arrive. Tournaments may start on Friday evening depending on registrations.

All categories will be divided by middle school (6-8) and High School (9-12)

Sports Events will be going on Friday and Saturday
If a church will not be entering a team into competition but there are interested teens who want to play, register as normal and mark the registration form where indicated. We will have district pick up teams for these students
There will be an all-star team / outstanding player awards given out.
Christ-like attitudes are expected from all participants. Adults are asked to please set the example in this respect.
